Kaimanawa Legacy Foundation, in association with Equifest, is excited to announce the inaugural CopRice Kaimanawa Legacy Freestyle competition on Sunday 15th October 2023.
This elite, invitational event will feature up to 15 of the best Kaimanawa horses in the country. Trainers will showcase the talents of their Kaimanawa horses during a five-minute freestyle routine, which incorporates props, music and costumes.
This spirited freestyle class is designed to showcase the talents of New Zealand’s wild horses for fans and enthusiasts. Among the line-up will be many crowd favourites from Stallion Challenges over the years, top-performing Kaimanawa horses, and wild cards. The winning horse will receive cash and prizes, as well as the coveted 2023 CopRice Kaimanawa Legacy Freestyle champion title.

40 x 30m Outdoor Fibre Arena (20 x 30 warm up arena)
5 min time slot + 2 min set up/pack down for props

1st = $500 cash/prizes, 2023 Kaimanawa Legacy freestyle champion title, rug, garland, sash, plus the opportunity to perform in the Equifest night show in 2024
