Join Us for an Unforgettable Experience at the Kaimanawa Legacy Kamp and help Save a Kaimanawa from the 2025 Muster!
Join the KLF Team and their Approved Trainers (including Kelly Wilson and Morgan Chandler-Bruce) for three action-packed days of fun, learning, and inspiration centred around everything horsey! From September 22nd to 24th, 2025 (Spring School Holidays), Woodhill Sands (Auckland) will come alive with energy, excitement, and a community of horse lovers just like you.
Whether you’re a beginner learning the basics or a seasoned rider competing at the top level, there’s something for everyone. Lessons are tailored to your level and favourite disciplines, ensuring you feel confident and challenged in a friendly, encouraging environment. From perfecting your canter to trying something new, you’ll grow alongside your horse with the guidance of expert instructors!
And it doesn’t stop there! Between lessons, we’ll keep the fun going with interactive clinics, engaging demonstrations, and hilarious team-building games. You’ll make lifelong memories as you learn, laugh, and bond with new friends—both human and equine.
Evenings are where the magic truly happens. Delicious food, inspiring talks, and world-class entertainment that will leave you buzzing with excitement.

PRICE
$500 + Ground Fees (from $120 to $150, depending on open or undercover yards). For every two participants that book in, an extra horse can be saved from the upcoming muster through out KLF Initial Handling Subsidies!
WHO CAN JOIN?
This camp is open to riders and handlers of all ages and levels, with horses of any breed! You don’t even need to own a Kaimanawa horse to join the fun. Under 18? No worries—just bring an adult supervisor (one supervisor per child is included at no extra cost). Extra friends or family members can join in the experience for only $75.
ACCOMMODATION
Get the full equestrian experience by camping out in your truck, tent, or float—just like a classic horse show! The venue has bathrooms, showers, and a communal kitchen to keep things comfortable.
MEALS
We’ll make sure you’re fueled up with shared meals throughout the camp. Got special dietary requirements? Let us know—we’ve got you covered!

AGES
This camp is targeted for handlers/riders of ALL ages and levels, with any breed of horse welcome. You don’t have to have a Kaimanawa to attend!
Every child under the age of 18-years is required to have a adult supervisor camping on site with them (as you would at a show). One supervisor is complimentary, but additional friends or family members will incur a $75 surcharge.
WHAT TO BRING
Basically pack as if you’re going to a show (but without all the fancy clothes)! You will be camping in your trucks, floats or tent so bring everything you need to make it a fun and easy getaway for both you and your horse.
- x1 Home Baking
- x1 plate (per person, ie two for parent/child) of food for the Pot Luck Welcome Dinner on first night
- Plates, cups, cutlery and a drink bottle
- All riding gear – helmet, jodhpurs, riding boots etc
- Back protectors for Cross Country (if you elect to do a Cross Country lesson)
- Horse gear – brushes, saddle blanket, saddle, bridle, covers etc
- Horse’s feet should be tidy – do not trim barefoot ponies too short prior to arrival.
- 2 bales of hay and hard feed (remember horses are working hard and need to be fed well)
- Swim wear for the foolish/hardy!
- Wet and cold weather gear if forecast is questionable
- Towels, sleeping bags, extra blankets and pillow
- Bandages and leg wraps for when your horses are yarded (optional)
- Medication if required
- SMILE AND A ‘CAN DO’ ATTITUDE
