EVERY DONATION ADDS UP TO HELP SAVE AN EXTRA HORSE FROM THE MUSTER

Will you join us in our mission to place more of New Zealand’s wild Kaimanawas into knowledgeable and loving homes?

With the next Kaimanawa Horse Muster set for autumn 2026, Kaimanawa Legacy Foundation are looking for donations to provide potential owners with subsidies to help with the costs of saving excess horses.

INITIAL HANDLING SUBSIDIES

Public donation support our Initial Handling Subsides, which provide eligible owners with a $1000 grant to help cover the cost of placing their wild horse with a KLF Approved Trainer for its initial handling, or to attend a wild horse workshop and receive guided mentorship through the taming process.

For many, these costs can be difficult to budget for, especially right now when the cost of living is so high. While the KLF subsidies won’t cover all of the costs associated with saving a Kaimanawa, they will allow quality KHH/KLF approved homes the opportunity to save a horse from the muster, when they might not otherwise be able to afford to.

Any amount helps our Kaimanawa horses, so please give what you can and know that your support makes an impact.

Donations can be made directly to the KLF bank account or via our Givealittle Campaign.
